Custom Software Engineering for Scalable Enterprise Growth
High-performance internal tools, dashboards, and automated web platforms purpose-built for organizations past the MVP stage. We turn complex business workflows into clean, maintainable digital equity.
We don’t build for idea-stage founders.
Our minimum engagement for a custom build starts at $60,000. This is not an arbitrary baseline; it is because engineering durable, critical applications takes true system architecture, strict security profiling, and dedicated development sprints. If you run an established organization with real workflows to systematize and active costs to cut, we are your engineering partner.
We specialize in Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, React JS, and Python.

How Pixeltree Builds Software
PHASE 01
Discovery & Design Sprint
2-3 weeks
We document your operational hurdles before writing software architectures. We analyze user journeys, outline database relationships, and define structural barriers.
→ Stakeholder interviews and workflow documentation
→ Technical architecture and data model design
→ UI wireframes, user flow mapping, and clickable prototype
→ Delivery timeline and fixed-scope agreement
PHASE 02
Iterative Development
8-20 weeks
Agile development built strictly against verified milestone specifications. We focus on tight feedback looks and continuous build validation.
→ Bi-weekly demos with working software
→ Tests written alongside features, not after
→ Staging environment updated continuously
→ cope changes handled transparently — nothing silent
PHASE 03
Production Deployment
1-2 weeks
Infrastructure launches, thorough data verification, optimization testing, and internal team onboarding.
→ Infrastructure setup and deployment pipeline
→ Monitoring, alerting, and error tracking
→ User documentation and training
→ 30-day post-launch support included
ConsultMD
A medical app for physicians to send consultations to specialists for easier, quicker patient care.
THE GOAL
Pixeltree performed a project takeover on an existing product. The goal was to do a complete rebuild with a focus on general physicians consulting with dermatologists.
The core feature is GPs creating issues for their patients and then sending the consultation form to select specialists.
Specialists review and report back to the GP with a diagnosis and plan. This format means it saves the patient from having to book with the specialist and the specialist can view and report from anywhere they want. This results in patients getting quicker care and physicians have the opportunity to bill for more work.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
It depends on the scope, your budget, timeline, and other constraints and considerations. We can work with you to strategize a launch plan with most budgets, beginning with a lean MVP to get you to market quickly and with the least investment, while offering the most valuable feature(s).
-
While it depends on the scope of your project, we can launch apps as early as 8 weeks out from the day we start coding.
-
If you need design, we start with a design phase where our in-house designer creates mockups and a clickable prototype. These assets validate concepts and can be used for testing so refinements can be made before code is written.
Once the design phase has completed, we move on to development. We begin with the must-have features and work our way down from there. We launch in a staging environment for acceptance testing by our team and for clients.
Approved features then get deployed to a live environment.
We work on an iterative basis where we constantly add features week by week until we launch everything by the deadline or add enhancements to an existing app as soon as they are ready.
We host regular client demos to share progress so you know exactly what you’re getting and where you are in the development process. We offer full transparency! -
Absolutely!
-
Launching your app is the beginning. As your audience uses your product, you will determine feature enhancements and other features to include as you respond to user feedback.
We also perform bug fixes and on-going support. This work can be charged hourly or we have monthly plans for maintenance-type work.
New features will be estimated and developed feature by feature. -
This is the simplest version of a product that is market ready and allows you to validate your core idea, test key assumptions, and collect feedback quickly.
If you’re launching a new product, this is a great way to begin since it requires the least investment and gets you to market quickly and allows you to pivot on a dime. -
The design phase is a critical early stage in the software development process where the look, feel, and functionality of a digital product—like a website or app—are planned out before any code is written.
This includes creating design assets such as flowcharts, wireframes, detailed mockups, clickable prototype, and design specifications for developers.
Design is best performed before code is written so there is complete understanding and alignment of scope and functionality. -
No — you don’t need to know anything about design or coding to work with a software agency like Pixeltree. That’s our job.
What you DO need to know is:
A clear idea of the problem you’re trying to solveInsights about your users or customers
Your goals for the product (what success looks like)
From there, Pixeltree guides you through the process:
Designers will translate your vision into user-friendly screens.
Developers will bring those designs to life with code.
Project managers will help you stay informed and in control without needing technical knowledge.
